GET INVOLVED

The National PTA has a great list of ways to get involved in your child’s education. Here are just a few ideas:

1. Attend PTA or parent meetings regularly.

2. Read classroom and school newsletters.

3. Read and know your school’s handbook.

4. Meet your child’s friends and get to know their parents.

5. Contact your school for information on family programs and resources.

6. Attend workshops or seminars on various parenting topics.

7. Discuss your child’s school day and homework daily.

8. Learn your child’s strengths and weaknesses in different areas of school.
