Holiday Gift Shop Update

A big THANK  YOU goes out to everyone involved in making the Holiday Gift Shop so successful this year.  The children had a great time filling their shopping bags with special gifts for family and friends.  We very much appreciate the continued support of PTA fundraisers from our  DeWitt families.  Thanks to you, we sold more than $15,300 of merchandise at the three elementary schools.  This fundraiser alone has provided our elementary schools with an additional$4,260 to be used to fund field trips, assemblies and other student enrichment programs.  Thanks again to the PTA building Reps, parent organizers and our devoted volunteers who donated their time and energy to make the Gift Shops such a fun shopping experience for our students

The PTA needs you!

The PTA is seeking people willing to serve on the board for next year.  Open positions include Building Representatives, Vice President, and Treasurer.  We also need PTA members to serve on the nominating committee right now.  Please contact Theresa Butcher (669-1270 or tbutcher@edzone.net) if you are interested in getting involved or if you would like more information.

MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

Well, we have hit the halfway point of the school year!  Your PTA has been very productive so far and we have many exciting events planned for the rest of the year (as you will see when you read this newsletter!).  This is also the time when we start to organize our board for the next school year.  I’m asking you to consider becoming more involved in the DeWitt Elementary PTA.  Many positions are open.  We are looking for Building Representatives, Vice President, and Treasurer.  We also need PTA members to serve on the Nominating Committee to help us finalize our slate of officers.  Being an active member of the PTA is rewarding and fun.  It’s an opportunity to be more involved in your child’s education and to meet new friends.  Please contact me or any current board member if you’d like more information or if you have any questions.  Thank you.
