Membership
Membership is
open to any one who is concerned with the education, health and welfare of
children and youth. Join the PTA at your elementary building’s open house,
by completing membership forms sent home in the Fall, or by contacting our
Membership Chair. PTA membership includes discounts from many DeWitt area
merchants, as well as free tickets to the annual PTA Carnival, held in the
Spring. Participation in the DeWitt Elementary PTA means more than just
financial support of school-related activities and events. It also provides
an opportunity to volunteer in your child’s building throughout the year and
is a great way to meet new friends! |

Last year the PTA donated almost $30,000 to
the district’s four elementary schools. These monies were used to help fund
special assemblies, cultural awareness projects, field trip transportation
and many other activities. The PTA also hosts Parent Education Programs
throughout the year and contributes funds to the district calendar.
Fund-raising activities include the Spring Carnival and Spirit Sale.

Participation in the DeWitt
Elementary PTA can mean more than just financial support of school-related
activities and events. The PTA coordinates volunteer efforts in your child’s
building throughout the year, providing you with opportunities to meet staff
and work with other parents. While we encourage participation at whatever
level you are comfortable with, PTA membership does not obligate you to
participate. Your support of the membership drive is greatly appreciated!
