The PTA Mission
PTA membership
is a commitment to students in the DeWitt elementary schools. We
encourage parent and public involvement through the many activities provided
and/or funded in each of our four buildings. Major PTA events include
the Fall Tailgate, Spirit Wear Sale, Conference Cuisine Dinners, Holiday
Gift Shop, Teacher Appreciation activities, Mileage Club, the annual Spring
Carnival and a newly planned Spring Fun Run!
Through an
independent organization of parents, educators, students, and other citizens
active in our schools and community, the PTA reflects our commitment to our
children and schools. We encourage parent and public involvement through
the many activities we provide and/or fund in each elementary building.
Membership is
open to any one who is concerned with the education, health, and welfare of
DeWitt children. Join the PTA at your elementary building Open House or by
completing membership forms sent home in the fall and available on our
website.
Participation
in the DeWitt PTA means more than just financial support of school-related
activities and events. It also provides an opportunity to volunteer in
your child’s building throughout the year and is a great way to meet new
friends in your community!
